I was on a long assignment in Algeria for a book. That morning, I was on the Father Foucauld’s set, a Catholic priest, who had built his hermitage in 1910 to meditate and pray.
The view of the Volcanic Valley of Assekrem in southern Algeria was a moment of grace, a gift of nature.
